It barely hit theaters but Disney knows you like Oz! I’m not sure how they know this but I hope they’re right, considering they have a sequel in the works.
It seems that the stars are already all signed on for sequels (that’s right, sequels, with an ‘S’) and writer Mitchell Kapner, who wrote Oz: The Great and Powerful, has been contacted about writing round two!
Stars Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams have expressed their enthusiasms with sentiments like, “If there is one, I’d love to be in it,” and, “wherever Sam goes, I’ll go.”
But following Sam Raimi on his creative journey down the yellow brick road comes with a HEFTY price tag, Oz cost $325 million in production overall! Let’s hope the movie can recoup the money or James Franco may have to visit the Emerald City bank and make a withdrawal.
