Sometimes perseverance and long-term commitment finally pays off with some projects. For Brian Buckner, that means becoming the show runner for True Blood, a show he has been writer/co-executive producer on since the pilot.
Buckner is stepping into the role after Mark Hudis, who was in charge of True Blood last season, decided to step down “to focus on development under his overall deal with the network.”
Season 6 of True Blood is currently in production, filming episode 4, which makes the announcement even more surprising. The replacement of show runners usually only occurs between seasons.
How do you think the change in show runners will affect the new season?
