20 years ago today, we started shooting CLERKS.
20 years later, with no plan or provocation, I jumped out of bed at 4:20 this morning and started writing CLERKS III.
It’s been like hanging out with old friends.
And after 2 hours of tapping the keys and giggling, I have come to a conclusion…
CLERKS III will be the best film I’ll ever make
This is what greeted Kevin Smith fans on his FaceBook today! After announcements that Clerks III would be a Broadway play, then not a Broadway play but Smith’s final film as a director, then news that it would be a book before becoming am movie, it seems that it’s finally been settled. The Clerks film franchise gave rise to the legendary duo Jay and Silent Bob, so they should be back as well.
