Ask any teenage girl about One Direction and you will be in for their life biographies. Ask celebrities about One Direction and you’ll be met with some less than enthusiastic opinions.
The young European boy band has been under scrutiny since the Taylor Swift/ Harry Styles break-up and celebrities aren’t fans. The latest to diss the young Brits was ‘Lost’ actor Matt Fox.
When asked about the group on ‘Conan,’ he said that he’d never take his 15-year old daughter to one of their concerts and that he is “trying to encourage her to explore music that’s outside of the boy bands.” Ouch.
But these comments are like candy compared to the sour words from others. Singer Jake Bugg called the band ”terrible,” and while at the NME Awards 1D earned the title ‘Worst Band’ while teen heartthrob Harry Styles took home the title ‘Villain of the Year’.
Even though I’m not a fan, I think this is rude. They are working just as hard as anybody else in the entertainment business and all they get is hate. Why can’t people just love each other??
