Talk about an eargasm of sorts! Ne-Yo has shared with Digital Spy that he and Celine Dion have recorded a duet. The singer and mega producer described the duet as a “surreal experience” Ne-Yo is working on songs for Dion’s forthcoming album.
Ne-Yo said “The first time I worked for her, I wrote a song for her, which in itself was surrreal.” This time around though, the situation was different. “I actually did a duet with her; it’s me and her on one song, which was a challenge to say the least,” he said. Ne-Yo found himself wondering why he was there, asking “Why would they need my voice when they have hers?”
The duet was actually Dion’s idea. “She wanted to do the song as a duet, and I was flattered, but it definitely made me question my vocal ability,” he said (we would have done the same ourselves).
Dion’s forthcoming album, tentatively titled Water and Flame, will be her tenth English album and follows 2007’s Taking Chances.
What do you all think of Ne-Yo collaborating with Celine for her new album? Will you be checking it out when it drops? I know I will!
