The title of the first episode of Sherlock series three has been revealed on Twitter by Mark Gatiss, who not only plays Mycroft Holmes in the BBC drama, but also co-created the series alongside Steven Moffat.
The episode is entitled ‘The Empty Hearse’, and is an adaptation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s story ‘The Adventure Of The Empty House’, which introduces villain Sebastian Moran, and reveals Sherlock’s fate following his apparent death in ‘The Reichenbach Fall’. Jeremy Lovering will direct the episode, and production has started!
