JT may soon be putting on his suit and tie once again and heading to a mansion in New York City. According to the New York Post, the Grammy award-winning singer is being heavily considered for the lead role of Daddy Warbucks in Sony Pictures’ upcoming film adaptation of ANNIE.
The film role would unite Justin with his ‘Suit & Tie’ collaborator Jay-Z who will reportedly be producing the film alongside Jada Pinkett Smith, and Will Smith. Their daughter Willow was originally going to star in the film but dropped out and then it was announced that Academy Award nominee Quvenzhané Wallis would take on the title role.
Personally I don’t think this is true, I could see how it MIGHT be true but I’m not buying it. Can you imagine the phone call from Jay-Z to Justin? “Hey bro, want to star in the musical I’m working on?” hilarious.
For the record, a representative for Sony Pictures has denied the casting news.
