Get ready to party like it’s 1999 again, West Coast! That’s right, his Purple Majesty is set to embark on a new tour that will hit up those cities on the West Coast of North America (that includes you people of the Great White North as well). The 54 year-old ‘Purple Rain’ crooner’s plans to tour were revealed by his backing band 3rd Eye Girl recently during a podcast given by fansite Drfunkenberry.
Vancouver, Seattle, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Anaheim are among the cities that Prince will play in for a grand total of 28 dates up and down the West Coast. In each city, he plans to play two gigs each day, one early and one late (double the fun for those who can take them both in!).
Along with the West Coast tour, the Purple One will also hit up Montreal and show his European fans some love with stops in Switzerland, Stockholm, Sweden, and Skanderborg, Denmark.
Fans will be provided with the information on how to buy tickets reportedly next week.
