News just broke that TV news legend Barbara Walters will be retiring in 2014. It is being speculated that Walters, 84, is expected to make the announcement herself in the coming weeks. Barbara Walters not only is the creator of ABC’s hit daytime talk show “The View”, she also serves as a reporter for a variety of specials for ABC news, mostly known for her sit downs with past Presidents of the United States and her yearly “Barbara Walters 10 Most Fascinating People”. She has been reporting the news for over 50 years and is the author of the New York Times best seller “Audition”.
In the past weeks as Joy Behar announced her departure of “The View”, rumors began to swirl that Barbara as well was being forced out as producers wanted to “young up” the show. Is Barbara retiring on her own accord, or is she bowing out gracefully? Either way, we will be sure to keep you updated.
