Facebook is coming out with yet another upgrade, this time for its Android based users. They are launching the new Facebook Home app, which will replace the home screen on the Android phones and make it an interactive Facebook experience with updates and photos of your friends and family front and center. They are also releasing a special version of the Home app that will come standard on the new HTC First phones from AT&T.

The new home screen experience is unique in that it will show you full screen shots of photos and updates that are being made by your Facebook friends for you to just sit back and enjoy. You also have the option to go through all your notifications at once, answer the ones you want, and dismiss the ones you don’t want.

Apps are still important and available on your device, with just a quick swipe. But instead of having to choose between using an app and using Facebook, you can do both at once. If someone sends you a message, Facebook Home immediately launches a photo of the person that you can click on and open the message while the current app you may be using is still in the background. This is called the Chat Heads feature.

The HTC First will be released on April 12th, as will the Home download for users that already have an Android based phone. The new HTC First is available for $99 and can be pre-ordered here!
