By now, it’s well known that Glee’s Cory Monteith has checked himself into rehab for substance abuse. The Twitterverse, as well as his cast mates, tweeted their support for the young adult, claiming that he’s a good person for trying to get clean.
Co-star Mark Salling has kept in close touch with Cory, sending him inspirational texts while he undergoes treatment. He told US Magazine “It takes balls to go through that privately, but to go through it publicly- balls.”
Salling also says that everybody in the Glee cast is supporting Cory every step of the way, sending texts of encouragement and tweeting him occasionally so he knows he’s loved.
Cory’s girlfriend, co-star Lea Michele says that she is totally supportive of his voluntary admission and will love him no matter what. “I love and support Cory and will stand by him. I am grateful and proud of his decision,” she said in an interview.
I, along with many others, wish Cory a speedy recovery and hope he never loses faith.
