Kurt and Blaine are about to make some VERY interesting friends!
Newly out lesbian, Meredith Baxter and Oscar winner,
Patty Duke,
are joining the Glee cast as a longtime committed lesbian couple who have been together for more than 25 years, sources have confirmed exclusively to E! News.
They begin shooting early next week, and we’ll first see them in the season finale’, “All Or Nothing” episode, Duke and Baxter will stay on as part of the Glee family, also returning next season as recurring characters.
(YES, WE SAID NEXT SEASON!)
PopWrapped HAS CONFIRMED E!’sin Glee‘s season finale, Blaine decides he wants to propose to on-off boyfriend Kurt! That would DEFINITELY explain why Darren and Chris have been filming together for the past five days straight!
Blaine goes to a jewelry store to buy a ring and meet’s Duke’s character, who just happens to be the jewelry salesperson. She speaks to Blaine about his deep love for Kurt, and then she and her longtime girlfriend (Meredith Baxter) offer to be their relationship mentors.
According to E!, the inspiration for this storyline was the recent Supreme Court case regarding same-sex marriages, and one Glee source describes the storyline is “topical and sweet.”
