I’m so pleased to see that Mary-Louise Parker is still working after Weeds ended! The Manhattan Theatre Club’s Lynn Meadow and MCC Theater executive producer Blake West will be co-producing the world premiere of The Snow Geese, a new play by Sharr White and directed by Tony Award winner Daniel Sullivian starring former Weeds star Mary-Louise Parker.

This limited engagement will last only 11 weeks total and will begin previews on Tuesday October 1st and opens October 24th. The play is set in World War 1, when the war is in a rage. Widow Elizabeth Gaesling gathers her family for their annual shooting party to mark the opening of hunting season in rural, upstate New York, But, Elizabeth is forced to comfort a new reality as her carefree eldest son comes to terms with his impending deployment overseas and her younger discovers that the father they all revered left them deeply in debt. Together, the family must let go of they life they have always known.

Sounds like this will be a great play!
