In anticipation of the release of Catching Fire, the second installment in The Hunger Games trilogy, entertainment company Lions Gate have teamed up with Microsoft Internet Explorer to launch a brand new website! The site has already debuted exclusive official stills from the film, and will include content from social media outlets including Twitter, Tumblr, Facebook, YouTube, Google+ and Pinterest in one webpage.

Most excitingly for fans is the promise of unprecedented behind-the-scenes access. In addition to this there will be plenty of interactive features, such as the ability to intermingle with each other, becoming a citizen of Panem, joining a district and receiving an occupation! Members can also customize and filter which content is shown on their own personal homepage. The ‘spark’ element is similar to a Facebook ‘like’, and allows for posts to be prioritized.

Roger Capriotti, IE marketing director, told PCMag that this is an experience “superfans will love”, so make sure to check out The Hunger Games Explorer teaser page HERE, and the official page will be launched THIS SUNDAY!
