NBC and CW Renew More Shows!

Ahead of its May Upfronts, NBC and the CW have announced some early renewals of its shows.

According to EW.com, the Peacock network has renewed five of its dramas: Parenthood, Revolution, Grimm, Law & Order : SVU and Chicago Fire.

Law & Order: SVU will enter its 15th season this fall, while Grimm will enter its third and Chicago Fire and Revolution will enter their sophomore runs.

EW.com also reports that Parenthood would have a full fifth season (that’s 22 episodes folks), where last season, the show only had 15 episodes.

Over at the CW, TVLine.com notes that the network has renewed Hart of Dixie for a third season and gave Beauty and the Beast a second one. And despite some lukewarm ratingsThe Vampire Diaries spin-off The Originals (where the back-door pilot aired last night), it was ordered to series.  The series will join the already renewed Arrow, Supernatural, and The Vampire Diaries for the 2013-2014 TV season.

As for the rest of these networks shows as well as Fox, CBS and ABC, all will be announced at the May Upfronts, which are scheduled for the week of May 13, 2013.
