Christopher Nolan’s Interstellar cast gets bigger and bigger! Sir Michael Caine has joined the upcoming film; the legendary actor inked his contract this week to join the cast which already includes Matthew McConaughey, newly minted Oscar Winner Anne Hathaway, and Oscar nominee Jessica Chastain.
Interstellar will mark the sixth time the Oscar winning actor has worked with Christopher Nolan. Caine has starred in Nolan’s previous works The Dark Knight trilogy, The Prestige, and Inception. No word has been released as far as what role Caine is to inhabit.
Interstellar will find the cast on a heroic journey of scientific discovery and will likely feature wormholes/time travel for its plot. The film is set for production this fall with a release date of November 2014.
As for Caine, his latest film Now You See Me will be hitting theaters in July.
