That’s right, little monsters; the Mother Monster has made a triumphant return to the stage for the first time since her emergency hip surgery earlier this year.
Last Thursday (9 May), Lady Gaga took to the stage at the Rose Bar in the Gramercy Park Hotel, New York City giving an impromptu public performance with world-class jazz star Brian Newman. E! reports that they sang a stunning rendition of “Someone to Watch Over Me”. Following the performance, Newman took to Twitter thanking the “Born this Way” singer for joining him on stage.
On the 12th February this year, Gaga announced via her Twitter that she had to cancel the remaining dates of her “Born This Way Ball” as she needed to undergo surgery on a “show injury”. Following surgery, she has been seen out and about using a gold-platted wheelchair and continues to work on her third studio album, ARTPOP, due for release later this year.
It’s great to see her back on stage and we at Popwrapped wish her well for her continued recovery.
