At the moment it seems that everything Aussie comic Rebel Wilson touches turns to gold! With stand out roles in surprise hits Bridesmaids and Pitch Perfect, as well as her new ABC comedy Super Fun Night being picked up for the Fall TV season, Wilson can almost have her pick at what to do next. Unsurprisingly, it looks like a sequel to Pitch Perfect is on the cards and Wilson couldn’t be happier.
Universal Pictures announced the sequel to the 2012 musical comedy in April with a projected release date of 2015, and Wilson’s eager to get back on set. Speaking to E! News this week, Wilson revealed where the production is currently at. “They’re writing the script [right now]. I’m excited about it. I loved doing the first one. Our director Jason Moore is back. Our writer Kay Cannon is writing the second script. So, yeah, it’s gonna be pretty awesome”.
With the original creators on board for the sequel, the movie is almost certainly set to be aca-mazing! The Pitch Perfect cast were last reunited during the 2013 MTV Movie Awards of which, Wilson was the host.
