On the heels of Karen Gillan being announced as one of the villains in Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy, Benicio Del Toro has been cast in the lead role.
Deadline broke the news on Monday, but said that who Del Toro’s character will be is not being released just yet. What they do know is that he will be a part of the Marvel universe in the future; which hints to a deal that may involve multiple movies.
Guardians of the Galaxy will be directed by James Gunn and already includes a stellar cast of Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, and Glenn Close (just to name a few).
