The episode, entitled “Mile Wide Tornado: Storm Chasers Tribute,” will air on Wednesday at 10 p.m., EST, and will include footage of Tim Samaras; his son, Paul Samara; and their colleague Carl Young.

Collectively, the trio had decades of experience chasing twisters. Tim Samaras in particular was highly respected in his field and was known as a researcher who was very cautious and studied tornadoes with the goal of awarding potential victims more time to seek shelter.

The original episode, “Mile Wide Tornado,” aired Sunday, June 2. The footage of the trio was added as a result of their tragic and untimely deaths, as well as the death of more than a dozen other Oklahoma residents.
