Hey Doctor Who fans! Will The Queen be the Doctor’s next companion or maybe even the 12th Doctor? Well, not quite. However, Jenna-Louise Coleman, who plays the most recent companion to the Doctor (Matt Smith), had the honor of meeting The Queen.

The meeting took place on Friday right in front of the iconic TARDIS display at BBC’s Broadcasting House – definitely an appropriate meeting place, if you ask me.

The Queen was visiting the BBC’s Broadcasting House to celebrate the official opening of a new extension in the building.

According to Digital Spy, Her Majesty unveiled a contemporary commemorative plaque depicting an early BBC microphone and toured the redesigned BBC Newsroom.

The Queen’s last appearance made at the Broadcasting House was back in 2006, and before that in 1939, when she accompanied her father King George VI, Queen Elizabeth and Princess Margaret.

During the presentation to the Queen, Coleman was also joined by the Director of Television, Danny Cohen, Sir Bruce Forsyth and David Dimbleby.

Coleman will be returning as Clara in the Doctor Who 50th Anniversary special in November. And soon we’ll find out who will be playing the 12th Doctor. Sadly, it probably won’t be the Queen.
