This past Sunday, Game of Thrones had aired their season 3 finale on HBO. The episode delivered 5.4 million viewers.
This has caused this season’s Game of Thrones ratings to surpass True Blood as the most popular season on HBO.
Usually drama’s, like Game of Thrones, often see a decrease in viewers after the first two seasons because it can be so hard to dive right in. This is especially true with a show like Game of Thrones because of all the stories and many characters it entails.
Game of Thrones averages 13.6 million viewers a week.
Game of Thrones has been able to gain more and more viewers each season and hopefully this will continue for future seasons.
