Dumb and Dumber To was passed up by Warner Bros. because they saw limited potential in the sequel. It has been 20 years since the first one was released.

The Farrelly brothers have decided to different movie studios to see if the film will get picked up.
Back in the 1990s, Carrey was a “box office powerhouse” and would make $20 million per film. Lately, Carrey has been having a rough time getting the same numbers he once had.
The actor will next be seen in a supporting role in the film Kick-Ass 2 opening in theaters Aug. 16th.
