Dear Mr. Cavalli: please keep your mitts off of Bey’s gorgeous body. She is smokin’ hot just the way she is, and nobody appreciates your turning her into a freakishly proportioned Barbie. Sincerely yours, all women, everywhere.
Fashion powerhouse Roberto Cavalli has designed a custom-made gown for Beyonce’s Mrs. Carter world tour. The sketch he drew as he was creating this masterpiece completely erases all of Bey’s famous curves and makes her look like the most beautiful string bean ever born.
The dress, obviously, is breath-taking. The colors and billowy sheer fabric make for one of the most gorgeous gowns I’ve seen in a long time. But you know what? It looks even more magnificent when it’s ON Beyonce; BECAUSE of her curves, not despite them.
If you take a look at this side-by-side comparison, you can see that Cavalli’s sketch really doesn’t even resemble the “Single Ladies” singer at all. Her legs are unrealistically long and skinny, her waist is impossibly thin, and her arms look like their maximum lifting power could handle a feather, maybe.
The sketch certainly does not make Bey look bootylicious; which is how we like her, damnit!
