Tracey Ullman is the latest actress to be in talks with Rob Marshall to be in his film adaption of Stephen Sondheim’s musical Into The Woods.
If casted, Ullman would play Jack’s mother. Ullman will join stars Emily Blunt, Meryl Streep and Johnny Depp. Jake Gyllenhaal and Chris Pine are also in talks to have roles in the film.
The film will be headed to London to begin filming this fall. James Lapine, the original writer of Into The Woods, will be adapting the screenplay.
Into The Woods is a late 1980’s musical that was on Broadway and has won several Tony Awards.
The musical takes a twist on many Brothers Grimm fairytales and follows different characters and explores their journeys.
