Lionsgate Teases Fans With Prospect of “Catching Fire” Trailer

The masters of suspense at Lionsgate are allegedly in the midst of preparing a second trailer for the upcoming Hunger Games: Catching Fire film.

The announcement was released after fansites caught wind of a possible trailer receiving approval from British Board of Film Classification. It was later discovered that this alleged new trailer is simply a shortened version of the teaser trailer released in April.

@THGAustralia was reportedly informed by a contact at Lionsgate that a second Catching Fire trailer would be released “very soon.”

One might wonder how soon “very soon” may be. It stands to reason that if in fact a second trailer is going to be released, it may very well appear at the San Diego Comin-Con in mid-July. The first movie didn’t make much of a splash at last year’s event, as it hit theaters three months before the jack-of-all-trades entertainment convention. This year, however, Catching Fire is in a stellar position to see a big promotional endorsement at Comic-Con since the film does not open until November. More and more, we see major film franchises spearheading large scale promotional campaigns at Comic-Con as a way to create even more fan anticipation. It’s not unusual for the cast and crew to make appearances to really bring in the crowds.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire is set for release on November 22, 2013. If you, like me, are giddy with excitement for not only the movie, but the second trailer, take a look at the first trailer and see if it can hold you over!
