Co-written with The-Dream, and produced by Nom De Strip, “Skirt” will be on Kylie’s forthcoming album. This is her twelfth in the studio, and first since signing with Jay-Z’s Roc Nation.

La Minogue had this to say about her new album: “[The album will be] pop dance but with a few new flavours. Expect the unexpected!…Joining the Roc family has been an exciting whirlwind. I’ve had the opportunity to work with some producers who have been on my wish list for a number of years so it’s amazing! Roc Nation is such a dynamic company, combining many years of experience with a hungry young team. It makes for fireworks and I think that will be heard in the music.”

Nowness.com had this to say: “Today’s stop-motion video was created from around thousand stills by fellow Australian photographer and director Will Davidson, whose clients include Calvin Klein and Nike, with work published in magazine, i-D and AnOther.”

Davidson shot the singer in her Los Angeles hotel room just last week in only three hours, as she wore clinging black Alexander Wang, Vanessa Bruno and vertiginous Jimmy Choo stilettos.

“In twenty-five years I haven’t done anything like this,” says Minogue. “It was also really last minute and thrown together in a heartbeat.”

Minogue’s new album is expected to be released later this year.
