Friends star Courtney Cox is set to make her directorial debut in the new film Hello, I Must Be Going.

Seann William Scott, American Pie actor, is starring in the film as Ted Morgan; a depressed man who goes back to his hometown to try and correct the wrongs he’s done before planning to end his own life.

Kate Walsh will also star in the film, playing the sister-in-law of William Scott’s character. The script was written by former Desperate Housewives writer, David Flebotte.

Despite directing episodes of her own TBS show Cougar Town, Cox has never taken up the offer to direct a feature film, until now. It seems 2013 is the year for her to start something new, as filming is expected to start next month in Los Angeles, CA.

Cougar Town wrapped its fourth season in May; it looks like Cox is making good use of her time off!

What do you think about Hello, I Must Be Going? Will you go watch it?
