Yet another casting announcement has been made for The Imitation Game.
The biopic of mathematician Alan Turing has added Matthew Goode to the cast which already includes Keira Knightley and possibly the busiest actor in the world right now, Benedict Cumberbatch.
The film, directed by Norwegian film maker Morten Tyldum tells the story of Alan Turing (played by Cumberbatch) who was instrumental in cracking the German’s Enigma Code during WWII. He was prosecuted by the British government a decade later for being gay but chose to be chemically castrated rather than imprisoned. This led to a huge bout of depression in Turing which ultimately resulted in his suicide.
Knightley will be playing fellow co-worker Joan Clarke to whom Turing was briefly engaged to before declaring his sexuality to her.
Goode will be playing the role of another code breaker Hugh Alexander.
