With Community creator Dan Harmon back on set, actor Joel McHale says in a recent interview published by Digital Spy, “the sky is the limit, I don’t know what to expect.”
McHale then quipped: “I mean, I know what to expect with Dan in that I know the scripts are gonna be dynamite and they will be absolutely unique and original, but I really don’t know what they have come up with.”
After being fired from his show last year, Harmon’s return can greatly be associated to lobbying by the cast (led by McHale) to bring the controversial creator/writer back to the show to bolster the upcoming fifth season according to Vulture.
“The belief among the actors was that the show was ‘less special’ without Harmon guiding the ship, and his return would help energize the gang for a fifth season.”
For fans of the series this is great news, but time will tell if history will repeat itself or if Harmon will breathe new life back into the Community despite his controversial methods.
