Looks like long drawn out installments are a thing. First we learned that Taken is becoming a trilogy, and now Rick Moranis has come out to talk about the future of a third Ghostbusters film.
Moranis told Empire, “I haven’t talked to Danny (Aykroyd) about it. Somebody he’s associated with called me and I said, ‘I wouldn’t not do it, but it’s got to be good.’ You know, I’m not interested in doing anything I’ve already done, and I thought the second one was a disappointment.”
Realistically, a third Ghostbusters wouldn’t be the same without his character Louis Tully, the nerdy lawyer, accountant, and Ghostbuster. A Billy Murray-less and Rick Moranis-less Ghostbusters? Even more questionable.
Still, Aykroyd has talked about going through with the film without Murray, so who is to say he wouldn’t do the film without Moranis?
So far the future of the film is unknown.
