Franz Ferdinand has released their newest single, “Right Action.”
Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show tonight (June 27) had the honor of giving the song its first radio play; which will be released on the 19th of August.
Hot Chip’s Joe Goddard and Alexis Taylor take producing credit, and will be a track on the upcoming album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Actionwhich is scheduled for release on August 26.
Right is the foursomes’ sophomore album; their freshman album, Tonight…Franz Ferdinand, was released in 2009.
The Scottish band had more good news to share: a special addition double A-side pink 7” vinyl record is currently available for pre-order prior to its July 7 release date, and will feature “Love Illumination” and “Right Action.”
In February, 2013, front man Alex Kapranos tweeted that Roxanne Clifford of Veronica Falls will be contribution to the new record.
