Glee star Jayma Mays has been cast in the new CBS comedy show The Millers. Mays will be playing Debbie – she is replacing Mary Elizabeth Ellis who played the part in the pilot.
The show, which also stars Will Arnett, Beau Bridges and Margo Martindale, will tell the dysfunctional tale of Nathan Miller (Arnett) and his family. Arnett’s character announces his impending divorce which inspires his father Tom (Bridges) to do the same. As a result Tom moves in with Mays character Debbie.
The new show is unlikely to affect Jayma’s return to season five of Glee as it was announced last week that Emma has been demoted from season regular to recurring role.
Glee returns to Fox on September 19 and The Millers will air on Thursdays on CBS.
