The first look at Aaron Eckhart in I Frankenstein was featured in Entertainment Weekly this week.
The actor, who is best known from The Dark Knight, will play the monster in the updated version of Mary Shelley’s classic tale.
The film, though set in the present day, will have a gothic setting in which warring families of immortals battle to out wit each other. Enter Frankenstein’s monster who is on a quest to discover his own immortality.
Other actors attached to this film are Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young. The film will be directed by Stuart Beattie and is based on the graphic novel by Underworld co-creator Kevin Grevioux. It is set to hit screens at the end of January 2014.
