When Homeland returns this fall, its main character Agent Brody (played by Damien Lewis), will be getting a lot less screen time – he is the most wanted man in the world after all. To fill in the gaps it looks like Claire Danes (who has already been photographed on set) will be taking centre stage but she’ll be joined by Iron Man actor Shaun Toub and Boss star Martin Donovan.
According to The Daily Mail, both actors will be featured prominently throughout season 3’s 12 episodes. Shaun Toub, who is Iranian-born, will play Majid Javadi who is a high-level intelligence officer from the Middle East. Martin Donovan will play a character named Bennett. The only thing known about his character is that he is a partner in a Washington D.C. area law firm.
These two actors are just the latest additions to an ever-growing list of guest stars for the Showtime drama that also includes David Aaron Baker, Joanna Merlin, Amy Morton, Nazanin Boniadi, Gary Wilmes, Sam Underwood, Tracy Letts, Lawrence Clayton and Pedro Pascal.
Homeland returns to Showtime on September 29th.
