The producers at Ravenswood have been busy! With production set to begin on the Pretty Little Liars spin-off next month, a major casting change is set to alter the dynamics of the show!

Elizabeth Whitson, who was cast as ‘former prom queen’ Olivia back in May, has departed the project in favour of Merritt Patterson, who was originally set to play the role of Tess, Olivia’s former best friend.  

Executive producers Marlene King, Oliver Goldstick, Joseph Dougherty and Leslie Morgenstein jointly told The Hollywood Reporter “As we dug deeper into the mythology of Ravenswood, we decided to re-conceive the character of Olivia. Merritt Patterson seemed to be the best choice for the direction the character is now headed.”  

Brett Dier is set to continue as Luke, Olivia’s twin brother, and Pretty Little Liars star Tyler Blackburn is to move to the spin-off show following the Halloween special. 

A replacement for the role of Tess is yet to be cast; Ravenswood is set to premiere this October!
