R&B diva Mariah Carey is still suffering from an accident that took place earlier this month. On July 7, Carey was filming the video for the remix of “#Beautiful” when she fell and dislocated her shoulder. When admitted to the hospital, the songstress found out that she also cracked a few ribs.

Her husband, Nick Cannon, who was directing the music video when the accident took place, took some time to give an update on his wife’s condition. In an interview with toofab, he said that Mariah is “doing a lot better, but she still doesn’t have movement in her right arm, there’s nerve damage. The fact that she doesn’t have use of her right arm right now has been pretty tough on her, but the doctor said with a lot more rest and relaxation she’ll be fine.”

Since her fall, the “#Beautiful” singer has still kept her performance commitments, including the 2013 MLB All-Star Charity Concert for Hurricane Sandy victims. During her performances she’s been rocking a sling on her right arm.

Cannon also praised his wife for continuing to work and perform. “It just shows how much of a trooper and how strong she actually is, to be able to do that. She not only was on stage less than a week later, but also back on the video set hours after the accident.”

We hope she has a speedy recovery!
