Please tell us it’s not true, but it appears that Hugh Jackman is going to take a break from acting.
Speaking to Australia’s Kyle and Jackie O Show, Jackman revealed that following his appearance in four major film roles recently, he needs a break. “I’m taking a little while off… this movie now is my fourth movie in a row”. He explains that what he’s doing is “being very greedy. There’s a thing called being in the dog box, that’s me.”
Jackman, who is currently doing the publicity circuit for his latest film, The Wolverine, didn’t say how long this break may be, though he did hint that it could be as long as a year. However, fans of the clawed Australian star can take heart in the fact that you will still be able to see Jackman as Wolverine in two films over the next year; The Wolverine and 2014’s X-Men: Days of Future Past. That means plenty of opportunities for Jackman news and sightings still.
The Wolverine opened in the UK today, with its US release tomorrow (July 26).
