After being the voice of Smurfette in The Smurfs, singer Katy Perry said that acting is harder than singer and not something one can just “roll into.”
“It’s definitely a lot of effort to be an actor, and it’s not something just anyone can roll into,” she said in an interview with Radar magazine. She even went on to add, “I think you get a lot of people thinking, ‘If I can act, I can sing; if I can sing, I can act’, and it’s just not true.”
Preach Katy! With so many young stars thinking along those lines, maybe she can talk some sense into them. Katy did say that if she did want to get serious about an acting career she would have to do a lot of training.
“I think that it’s actually harder and it takes more time than a music career. You wake up at four or five a.m. That’s commitment. If the movie would start filming at 11am then I would do it,” she joked. As for right now though, Katy is working on singing, recording her third studio album.
