There has been quite a bit of buzz lingering from Comic-Con, and much of it is thanks to a clip shown during the Hall H preview panel of the highly anticipated sequel, Thor: The Dark World; due out November 8.

Close to 7,000 fans that attended the interview panel were privy to a clip that appears to show Loki’s sword slicing the right hand of Thor. Chris Hemsworth, who stars at the title character, missed Comic Con this year as he was in Hong Kong filming his next project, Cyber, with director Michael Mann. Hemsworth himself was even impressed with the clip fans were treated to, commenting that he hadn’t even seen it.

“Is that the footage they showed? I haven’t seen it yet. I’m trying to get hold of it somehow. I wish I could have been there. I can’t say too much more about it. But I will tell you that’s not the worst thing that he has to worry about along the way,” Hemsworth commented.

Of course, we will have to wait until the movie hits theatres this fall, but Hemsworth had a few suggestions if he does in fact lose his hand in the film: “Maybe I will have to learn to use the hammer with the left hand, you know? Or I was thinking of maybe just attaching it. I could ram it straight down into the stump. That would be very Game of Thrones in approach.”
