Showtime has just picked up pilots featuring Ruth Wilson, Josh Hartnett and Eva Green.
Ruth Wilson, recently seen in Luther, is set to appear opposite Dominic West in the pilot for The Affair, reports Deadline. West will star as Noah, a man trying to balance a wife, four kids, and a career in NYC. Noah’s life takes a drastic turn when he encounters a woman who he believes to be his soul mate.
The show is advertised as “an intense and intimate exploration of two marriages and an affair that disrupts them – with all of the complex consequences that result,” reports DigitalSpy.
The next pilot on the list for Showtime is the psychosexual horror series Penny Dreadful which will feature Josh Hartnett and Eva Green. The pilot is being written and executive produced by the minds behind Skyfall, John Logan and Sam Mendes.
