Tomlinson though has signed by Doncaster Rovers Football Club as a non-contract player at the club located in his hometown for the upcoming 13-14 season to aid of the Bluebell Wood children’s hospice.

Though he’s currently on a world tour and a movie documentary hitting theatres soon the team hopes he’ll be able to train with them as well as play all to raise money for charity.

Tomlinson, who will be number 28 when he plays, said, “This has always been a childhood dream for me. I feel very honored to have been asked to sign for Rovers and being able to help both the club and the amazing charity Bluebell Wood is what it’s all about”.

Tomlinson has a history of playing for the club, previously competing in a charity match at the Keepmoat Stadium last season, and used to work at the ground on match before he shot to fame.

The Doncaster Rovers head of media Steve Uttley comment, “Louis and I organized last season’s charity game, in aid of Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, which was a big success with over 9,000 fans attending.”

Good luck to Louis on his latest venture and great job at using your stardom to help charity!
