Parks & Recreation star, Rashida Jones, has a comedy project that was recently given a pilot commitment at FOX.
The network has bought Stuck, a single camera comedy that tells the story of a stuck-in-a-rut, middle-aged woman working at a bank. After she gets her childish daughter a job, within a day, she becomes her mother’s boss.
This project is produced by Jones and Will McCormack’s production company Le Train Train, in association with Warner Bros. Television, and Alexandra Rushfield, who will write the show. Jones, who is an original cast member on Parks & Recreations, will not star in this comedy project.
Stuck also marks the first project to come out of the two-year deal Jones and McCormack signed in January with WB TV.
It was announced last week that she and co-star Rob Lowe would leave Parks & Recreation during the sixth season.
