Katy Perry’s first official single “Roar” off of her upcoming studio album Prism has leaked two days before its official release date on August 12th.
The California-born singer has provided a countdown by posting multiple teaser clips, which have included her burning the famous blue wig and saying goodbye to her peppermint dress as seen on the California Dreams Tour.
Katy presented the single artwork earlier in the week when she made the song available to pre-order in the UK with its scheduled release date of September 8th.
Bonnie Mckee a co-writer with Perry has said that “Roar” marks a more mature sound for Katy. She also adding that she is eager for everyone to hear the new music because Perry is taking a new approach.
