Twilight fans take note: If you have ever hoped and wished for more books or movies, I come bearing sad news. Stephenie Meyer, the author of the vampire franchise is done and doesn’t look like she is coming back.
During a recent interview with Variety, Meyer told the interviewer, “I get further away every day. I am so over it. For me, it’s not a happy place to be.”
When asked if the door was completely closed on the idea, she replied, “Not completely. What I would probably do is three paragraphs on my blog saying which characters died.”
She added, “I’m more interested in spending time in other worlds, like Middle Earth.”
Meyer’s is currently working on the upcoming comedy Austenland starring Kerri Russell, who plays a woman obsessed with the BBC’s production of Pride and Prejudice and travels to a Jane Austen theme park in the search for her Mr. Darcy.
