Gilmore Girls Star Is Heading Back To The CW…Kind Of

Hannah Davis

Staff Writer

Lauren Graham’s novel, “Someday, Someday, Maybe” has been picked up by The CW as a TV series.

The (Parenthood, Gilmore Girls) star signed a deal with Warner Bros earlier this year to write a teleplay for a television version of Someday, Someday, Maybe.

The drama will be produced by DeGeneres’s A Very Good Production company. They will partner with Warner Brothers. Graham will write the pilot episode. She will join DeGenere’s and Jeff Kleeman as an executive producer.

The novel was based on Graham’s real life, personal experience as an actress in the 1990s. In the series, it follows a twenty-something actress named Franny Banks in the final six months of her three year plan of becoming an actress.

With everyone talking about their “bucket lists,” I have a feeling most twenty-somethings will be able to relate to the series as everyone has a dream, and goals for their life.

Franny Banks’ story might not stop with just one book, Graham said she thinks the novel will make a captivating TV series. She is currently thinking about a sequel.
