It seems that after four years Taylor Swift is still perhaps a little miffed at Kanye West, after she mocked him on a jar of jam. Yes, a jar of jam.
The singer apparently made the jam and gifted it to fellow singer Ed Sheeran where she left him a hand written note on the jam’s label that read “Yo Ed – I’m really happy 4 you and I’m gonna let u finish but this is the best JAM OF ALL TIME – T”
Sheeran posted a picture of the jar on Instagram, with the caption “Taylor made me some jam. Amazing.”
The ‘note’ undoubtedly refers to West’s rant during the 2009 VMA’s where he jumped onto the stage just as Swift was about to make her acceptance speech for winning Best Female Video for You Belong to Me, and declared that Beyonce should have won the category claiming “Yo, Taylor, I’m really happy for you, and I’m going to let you finish, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time” in reference to her music video for Single Ladies.
This year’s VMA’s take place on August 25 and Swift is again nominated for Best Female Video as well as Video of the Year.
Taylor took to her Twitter account to express her joy at having being nominated and add a little quip about now famous incident “Two VMA nominations!! If you vote and get us one, I promise to keep a firmer grip on the mic this time ;)”
