There is no age in love, and Lily Tomlin knows this.
The actress told E! News that she is considering marrying her long-time girlfriend Jane Wagner.
Marriage equality has come a long way, she confesses she would’ve never imagined same-sex marriage to be legalised in her lifetime. “It’s pretty remarkable”, she says. The recent rulings on Prop 8 and DOMA have paved the way for anyone who wants to get married to finally say “I do”.
She and Wagner have been together for 42 years, and at this point she feels “you don’t really need to get married, but marriage is awfully nice”.
She also jokingly said she and Wagner were not a wedding gown couple. “No rings, no bridal dresses. […] Maybe we’ll be dressed like chickens!” the actress said.
