Drake To Take The Stage At The Video Music Awards

Toronto born rapper Drake is the latest performer announced for the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards.

He tweeted the news saying “Excited to announce I’ll be performing at the 2013 @MTV VMA’s!!! #Brooklyn #OVO #Started #NeedAKawsTrophy.”

The rapper is set to perform his hit song “Started From The Bottom”. He might even win a coveted Moonman as he is nominated for two awards including Best Direction and Best Hip Hop Video.

Drake is no stranger to the VMA stage winning the award for Best Hip Hop Video in 2012 and performing in 2010.

Other performers for the show include Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and Miley Cyrus

The 2013 MTV VMAs will air live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Sunday August 25.
