Nina Dobrev has said she can’t choose between the Salvatore brothers in her hit show The Vampire Diaries and that’s ok by her. She joked about the possibility of there being a Salvatore that is a mixture between the two of them but she seems to think that Elena is okay with not choosing either.
“I think Elena’s got it good,’ she said. “She’s got the both of them after her. She kind of gets both. She’s a smart woman!”
So, unless the writers write it, don’t expect either the actor or the character to choose. Dobrev has also spoken about the back lash she would receive if she were to choose between the two brothers.
”Half the fans will get so mad at me if I say one, and the other half will say the other.”
Elsewhere, Ian Somerhalder has spoken about how the dynamic has changed between Elena and Damon now that Elena has professed her love for him. He’s said it’s “strange”, especially since Elena is identical to Katherine, the woman he’s loved for 160 years.
“What I love about [their relationship this season] is that it’s something the audience has really been wanting to see for a long time.”
Keep in mind, Wrappers, The Vampire Diaries doesn’t remain in happy land for long. So, make the most of it whilst you can because things are liable to change.
Season 5 of The Vampire Diaries will premiere on the CW on October 3 at 8/7C.
